With the 2014-2015 year, Loyola Club Tennis will be celebrating its 10th birthday! Since its humble beginnings in 2005, the once small club has burgeoned into one of the biggest clubs on campus. We had roughly 70 members regularly attending our practices, tournaments and social events throughout the 2013-2014 year. The fervor and commitment of our members have enabled the club to succeed while it continues to grow. Club Tennis members are active all over campus participating in and holding executive positions for organizations ranging from Greek life to the numerous religious organizations while studying anything from Biology to Accounting to Film. We participate in club activities while striving for academic success. Our club fosters deep connections between its members that remain long after graduation.
Thanks to the dedication of members past, our club has gained a reputation as a solid tennis team and as an active member in service around the city. We volunteer at various events throughout the year and participate in community service projects on campus as well as in the Rogers Park community. Some of the most recent events that we have participated in include the Hot Chocolate Run, Relay For Life, The Chicago Half Marathon and Christmas on Campus at Loyola. In the past we have also done community tennis camps. We are working to expand the community outreach branch of our club for the 2014-2015 year.
Loyola Club Tennis is one big family. The vast network of extraordinary individuals past and present have allowed our club to see many successes and we work to continue to provide opportunities to flourish. Our diverse club welcomes all and hopes to see even more growth during our 10th year!
